The victim was reportedly injured by a spouse, who subsequently fled the scene. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old active-duty servicemember Rae’kwan Fulton, drove away from the shooting scene in a white 2015 Toyota Tundra. Upon arrival, Police and Emergency Medical Service personnel promptly administered life-saving measures for the victim, who was then transported to Riverside Regional Hospital.
The Department extends its gratitude to the Newport News Police Department, the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, and the Williamsburg Police Department for their invaluable assistance in this matter.
